A fitness assessment at IkengaFit is a structured evaluation of your body composition, movement quality, cardiovascular fitness, and strength capacity. Our assessments provide clear data and insights so you understand where your body is now and what it needs to improve safely and effectively.

We offer two primary assessments: the Body Balance Report and the Fit Blueprint.

It includes:
 • Body composition analysis (using InBody technology)
 • Weight, body fat percentage, and lean mass

 • Hand grip strength testing
This assessment helps identify imbalances, health markers, and baseline data to guide smarter fitness decisions.

What is the Fit Blueprint?

The Fit Blueprint is a comprehensive performance assessment that evaluates how your body moves, performs, and tolerates physical stress.
It includes:
 • Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
 • Cardiovascular fitness testing
 • Muscular strength and endurance assessments
 • Lower-body and upper-body performance testing
The Fit Blueprint is designed to create a personalized roadmap for training, performance, and long-term progress.

Do I need to complete the Body Balance Report before the Fit Blueprint?

While not required, completing the Body Balance Report first is strongly recommended. It provides important health and body composition data that complements the movement and performance insights gathered during the Fit Blueprint.

Although many clients complete the Fit Blueprint which includes the Body Balance Report for a full picture of their health and fitness.

How long do the assessments take?

Body Balance Report: approximately 20–30 minutes
Fit Blueprint: approximately 60-90 minutes
Timing may vary slightly depending on individual needs and questions.

Question 7

What should I wear or bring to my fitness assessment?

Accepted Answer

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and athletic shoes.

Avoid heavy meals immediately before testing, and stay well hydrated.
No prior fitness experience is required.

Will I receive my results after the assessment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You’ll receive a breakdown of your results along with an explanation of what the data means for your training and health. These results help guide next steps, whether that’s independent training or a structured coaching program.

Do the assessments include a workout program?

Accepted Answer

The assessments themselves do not include a full workout program. However, you will receive a free week of the iKengaFit app to experience the accountability and expert fitness and nutrition programs that Elite coaching clients receive. 
Clients who enroll in Precision or Signature (Elite) Coaching use assessment results to guide their program design.

Are fitness assessments required to start coaching?

Fitness assessments are highly recommended but not mandatory. They allow us to tailor training more precisely and track progress over time.
Many Elite Coaching clients begin with a Body Balance Report, Fit Blueprint, or both.

How often should I repeat a fitness assessment?

Accepted Answer

Most clients repeat assessments every 3–6 months to track progress, adjust goals, and ensure training remains effective and appropriate.
Standard Coaching clients receive a complimentary Body Balance Report after the last session of their package. 
Elite Coaching clients receive a complimentary Body Balance Report every month to check in on their progress more frequently.

What’s the difference between fitness assessments and personal training?

Fitness assessments focus on evaluation and data collection, while personal training focuses on execution and coaching.

Assessments answer:
